2011.June.4th, 17 of company project managers gathered together and visited our Weifang stainless steel coating project's site in Shandong Province. The goal of this activity is enhance the QHSE management of site construction, and promote civilized site construction management.
After 7 hours travelling, we arrived at site at 11:00 clock. A very standard and tide blue fence site protection fence came into our sight, there are project information, Construction technology, process description, safety precautions, the project organization chart. Warning signs, warning with a clear pit operation specifications, equipment, machinery placed neatly, also has a special debris collection bags.
Project manager Wang Chengquan introduced us project summary, and techniques, and current process. This pipeline needs to be rehabilitated with stainless steel coating for 850M in 2 sections. The first section is 350M, second part is 500M, and every welding technician will finish around 15 meters, which means this pipeline rehabilitation will be finishing in 10 days.
All of visitors had divided into 2 groups and walked into DN1200 pipeline, and visit our employees who were working inside of it. It was pretty hot inside, but they were still wearing full protection gears. After we went out of pipeline, we felt, our employees are working much harder than us! They are the heroes; therefore, we are entitling to work hard, and strength the safety supervision, and ensure the construction is on the safe condition.
We also visited our employees cafeteria, food are nice with 3 dishes and 1 soup. Our employees even said to us, its even better than our family's food. In the dish washing place, you can obviously see the "saving water" sign, most of our managed felt shamed, this is real saving conscious! Even every small matter counts.
After we got into the preparation room, on the wall, there are, principle book, work instruction, little handful tools, work schedule board. On the ground, equipment set tidy. On the table, there are First Aid box, quality examine record note. Everything is just so orderly.
In the staff hotel, rooms and bathroom are also tide and clean. After visiting, Project manager Wang had a little discuss with us, and was very modest, he said" i have no special management method, what i do is focusing on team leader and management team, everyone shall has their responsibility, and we shall have risk conscious, good rules always help a lot.
Anyhow, there are also some drawbacks, for instance, pliers do not have insulation protection, in construction pit, and all exposed cable line shall have protection also. Nevertheless, we shall learn from them, especially their management method and experience, and promote to all branch company.
